Windows Vista "The wizard cannot create the connection"
I have searched online for this problem, and found plenty of forums, with no particular answer other than "Restore PC/Laptop to factory defaults", which is not always the best solution, especially if you have just reformatted and backed-"in" all your data.
Well, while trying to create a PPPOE Dial-up connection on Vista Home Premium, if you have ever encountered this message instantly
"The wizard cannot create the connection"
then, amongst other services, check if your "Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol Service" is set to Automatic. For this, go to Start>Run, type "services.msc", find the above-mentioned service, Right click>Properties and set the service to Automatic. In case you are immediately trying to create the connection after this fix, you might want to start the service too in the same dialog box.
Hope this helped someone.
